Haikyuu!! Season 5 Released Date Officially Confirmed

It has been years since ‘Haikyuu’ fans perished while waiting for its 5th season it almost felt like a decade. Finally, it has officially been announced and avid fans are more eager to know when it will be released. Earlier, the 5th season was just partially announced by one of its staff.

Just like any other fan of Haikyuu, this season is one of the most anticipated since it will cover the Karasuno vs Nekoma battle. As much as I want to watch it as soon as it gets released, I don’t want it to end especially if one of the two teams you love is gonna lose. Speaking as a fan, I am happy to see the winning team celebrating but it also pains me to see the other one losing after all their hard work. (Here comes the tissue again T_T)

Haikyuu Season 5 Date Release

A lot of manga readers and anime watchers of Haikyuu from all over the world are excited about this news and can’t wait until it gets released. Unfortunately, the exact date when it will be released is not yet confirmed. Studio Production I.G., the studio responsible for making updates about Haikyuu, hasn’t announced the date yet.

Despite this, in August 2022 there will be a gathering with the official cast members for its 10th Anniversary Event so we can assume that the official released date of the 5th Season will also be announced there. As long as this Covid-19 pandemic doesn’t get worse than it is right now then we can hope for our most anticipated anime to be released earlier.

Season 5 Trailer Video

As of now, there is still no official trailer released for Haikyuu Season 5. Let’s just hope that the rumors about it coming this Winter 2022 are true then we can expect its trailer to be released about October 2022. Instead, here is a fanmade trailer you can watch for brief info about Season 5:

Season 5 Plot Story

Haikyuu Season 4 ended with Karasuno winning against Inarizaki which made them enter the next qualifying game where they will face Nekoma from Fukushima prefecture. So Season 5 will cover the match between Karasuno and Nekoma which they called ‘The Battle of the Dumpster’.

In the previous season, it was shown that Kenma doesn’t seem invested in playing volleyball. Hinata then challenge him that if they were to face each other with a net between them, he will make him play at his best and thirst for victory just like any other player.

Aside from the long-awaited match between the 2 powerhouses, this season will also tackle Bokuto’s story. Kotaro Bokuto is the ace player of Fukurodani. His playstyle and how he became an ace were barely shown in the previous seasons and we can expect this season to show a lot of it.

Manga readers can’t wait to see ‘those’ scenes get animated, by saying ‘those’ well you know what I mean. It leaves me wondering how this season hypes and breaks the internet once it gets released.

Characters

These characters below are likely to resume appearing in Season 5:

• Kaito Ishikawa as Kageyama,
• Ayumu Murase as Hinata,
• Yu Hayashi as Ryunosuke Tanaka,
• Koki Uchiyama as Kei Tsukishima,
• Miyu Irino as Koshi Sugawara,
• Satoshi Hino as team captain Daichi Sawamura,
• Sôma Saitô as Tadashi Yamaguchi,
• Yoshimasa Hosoya as Asahi Azumane,
• Hiroshi Kamiya as adviser Ittetsu Takeda
• Nobuhiko Okamoto as Yu Nishinoya,

Without the official release date and trailer, we must continue to pray for all the creators and animators involved just to give us the best story and experience we can have.
