Voltes V: Legacy Reveals Japanese Voice Cast and New Dubbed Trailer

The main voice cast for the upcoming live-action Voltes V: Legacy film has been revealed, featuring five members of the Voltes team and four characters from the Boazanian Earth Conquest Army. In addition to this announcement, a new dubbed trailer showcasing their performances has also been released.

The Boazanian Empire’s key figures are portrayed by prominent Japanese voice actors. Junichi Suwabe, known for his roles in Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, voices Prince Zardoz (formerly Prince Heinel). Riho Iida voices Zandra, Kosuke Echigoya plays Zuhl, and Yusaku Hiyama lends his voice to Draco. Suwabe’s portrayal brings new depth to the iconic enemy commander, a central figure in both anime and tokusatsu history.

The trailer spotlights intense battle sequences, including Voltes V’s signature combination attacks, while also highlighting Steve’s iconic battle cries. It features Julie Anne San Jose’s rendition of the classic Voltes V theme song.

Set to premiere in Japan on October 18, Voltes V: Legacy will feature new scenes and enhanced CGI. The cast includes Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho. The movie is based on the 1977 Voltes V anime.

Renowned Japanese voice actors have been cast for the Voltes team. Chiaki Kobayashi, known for Mashle and Hell’s Paradise, voices Steve Armstrong, the lead character and pilot of the first Volt Machine. His performance blends the power of the original anime’s iconic lines with the unique styles of both the Japanese and Filipino dubs. Additional cast members include Yamato Kinjo as Mark Gordon, Kagura Hiroyuki as Big Bert Armstrong, Makoto Koichi as Little John Armstrong, and Megumi Nakajima as Jamie Robinson.
