Roronoa Zoro is a master of Three Sword Style, a swordsmanship style which he created during his childhood training in Shimotsuki Village. Zoro known as "Pirate Hunter" who captured Pirate with a big Bounty on his head.

Zoro was the Straw Hat Pirates' first mate, meaning he was the first crew recruit by Luffy. Zoro is an East Blue resident. He had tan skin, green hair, and dark brown eyes. He was a bounty hunter before joining Luffy and the crew on the Grand Line, hoping to become the world's finest swordsman in order to fulfill a promise made to someone he lost. He battles with not one, not two, but three swords. 1 for each hand and 1 for his lips He is the crew's second strongest member, after Luffy.

Zoro has a horrible sense of direction and may get lost even when traveling in a straight path, which makes him highly self-conscious because he never recognizes everything when he gets lost, instead blaming it on someone else.

One of the reasons Zoro enjoys being lost is due to his ignorance. Zoro never examines, let alone pays attention to, a map to get to his goal, instead he uses the objects around him as a guide. For example he uses trees as a guide multiple times to get to his destination. For instance, if Zoro encounters a tree covered in roots, he will turn left. Then, even though it has nothing to do with Zoro's objective, he will turn right if he notices a tree with more leaves.
